OUR MARKETS AND CUSTOMERS

  • Aerospace
Precision Combustion is developing a variety of technologies for aerospace applications. These technologies, funded by NASA, Air Force and others, provide high value in a compact and lightweight package.

    Aerospace
  • Defense
Precision Combustion products in development, funded by Army, Air Force, and Navy, offer high value-added features of special interest for defense applications:ultra-compactness, light weight, high reaction efficiency, and rapid transient response.

    Defense
  • Fuel Cell
Precision Combustion is developing a range of products for use in fuel cell systems: Our Microlith® fuel processor allows fuel cells to use available conventional fuels such as diesel, gasoline, biofuels and both high and low reactivity gases rather than hydrogen. They allow fuel cells to operate independent of any hydrogen infrastructure.

    Fuel Cells
  • Gas Turbines
Precision Combustion is developing and commercializing technologies for gas turbine applications. These technologies, funded by DOE, Air Force, NASA and others, provide high value in a compact and durable package.

    Gas Turbines
  • IC Engines
Precision Combustion has created a range of novel products to benefit reciprocating internal combustion (IC) engine applications. In today’s environmentally focused world, engine manufacturers and system integrators are continuously developing products that are more efficient and create fewer emissions. PCI is helping manufacturers reach their goals with four unique categories of products.

    IC Engines
  • Indoor Air Quality
Precision Combustion, Inc. (PCI) is developing air cleaning applications focused on control of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), CO2, Sulfur and other air pollutants. PCI’s nanostructured and catalytic air filters are modeled to achieve more reliable levels of indoor air quality while lowering energy use, and providing operating and capital cost savings.

    Indoor Air Quality
  • Oil and Gas
Precision Combustion is developing a range of products to benefit oil and gas production industries. The majority of the world’s valuable fossil fuels still remain unobtainable due to the difficulty and expense of current production methods.

    Oil and Gas
  • Chemical Manufacturing
Precision Combustion is developing a variety of technologies for chemical and fuel manufacturing applications. These technologies, funded by DOE and others, provide high value in a compact package, thus providing opportunities for chemical and fuel manufacturers to increase efficiency, increase production capacity, improve product quality and reduce cost in these competitive commodity materials applications.

    Chemical Manufacturing
  • Tactical Power Generation
Our ultra-compact conversion kit enables inexpensive lightweight commercial spark-ignited engines to run on multiple fuels (including diesel, biofuels and JP-8) for a wide variety of applications including portable generators for remote power, the Department of Defense, first responders, homeland security and marine power. With this technology, PCI is developing a family of soldier power gensets targeted to fill the capability gap below 5kW. These generators use COTS gasoline engines and our fuel conditioning technology to operate with JP-8 and other logistics fuels. These units include electric start and operator independent operation, providing a simple solution for warfighters.
